CityVerve brings together the brightest minds and pioneering use of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to redefine ‘smart’ in the context of a living, working city. It aims to build and deliver a smarter, more connected Manchester. It means creating a city that uses technology to meet the complex needs of its people.
On Wednesday the 31st May, we will be joined by Carmel Dickinson , programme manager for Manchester Informatics - University of Manchester digital research institute. Carmel had a lead role in setting up Europe’s first connected health ecosystem and brings together a GM Ecosystem of stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of Connected health technology to directly benefit Manchester Citizens. Carmel will give an overview of how the CityVerve project is applying IoT technology to health and wellbeing and and how this will help improve the lives of citizens. Carmel will explore the cross-thematic insights that can be gathered from the data we collect and how this will be demonstrated as a blueprint for smarter cities worldwide.
This is the third installment of four NVI events centred around CityVerve. We hope you can join us for this interesting session and debate either in person at the Greenheys innovation centre or from one of the NVI nodes, virtually.
